Who: Evelyn and Ian
Where: The Drake (main lobby)
When: Late late morning/noon-ish
Evelyn was ignoring Dolores' pointed speculations and side-glances as she went about consulting yet another directory for her most recent request. She had left one of the guests and returned to the main lobby in time to see Ian escorting a young lady up. Seeing the hotel manager escorting a guest to a room was nothing unusual. But escorting a pretty young lady, hand on the lower back, up to a room she apparently couldn't pay for? Evelyn was no idiot, and pretty damn observant when it came down to it. She had enough experience with men to know that a hand on the lower back was no professional gesture or a sign of being 'just friends'.
And she found that with that thought she had to fight the straight line her mouth threatened to turn into. It was stupid, really; Evelyn had never had and never will have any intentions of sleeping with her boss. Or any boss. Ever. So she should have felt relieved at seeing Sullivan escorting some guest with the attention of an admirer. But she didn't feel relieved; instead she felt another irriation piled on to the general state of worry she had woken up in. And, had she been anywhere but work, she might've let her face betray her. But she didn't. Evelyn made sure she didn't; not with Dolores and the rest of the staff eying her so closely; not when everyone here suspected it had been some 'thing' with Ian that had gotten her this job. She wouldn't let a case of wounded pride prove them right.

Who: Ian and Shoshannah
Where: The Drake
When: late morning
Shoshannah should have been prepared for this. She'd been out since 2 A.M. last night and while she'd thought of it as a very productive first day out, her parents didn't agree. The fight itself escalated at around 9 A.M., causing Shoshannah to grab her jacket and a large duffel-bag, stuffing it with a pair of her favorite pajamas and a change of day clothes, her camera, her purse, and a scrapbook that she kept most of her developed photos in.

Who: Kess and Ian
Where: The Drake
When: Afternoon
Kess decided that she was surely certifiable as she walked up the steps of the Drake. Sure, she needed a job, really needed a job, but word was that this place was not only damn fancy, but was run by the DiGiovannis. Another mob family, and non-too-friendly with the O'Malleys, her former employers. And yet here she was, walking into the place trying not to look nervous, casting around for someone who she may be able to talk to about a job.

Who: Maya and Ian
Where: The Drake
When: 1pm
Ian checked his pocket watch against the large clock in the center of the hotel. One of the two was running a little fast, but that wasn't really a concern. He was still ready for the appointment, merely waiting on Maya Walker's arrival. It didn't surprise him that they'd use the Drake for the ball they were throwing, the place had come to be relied on for that sort of thing.

Who: Ian and Sam
Where: The Drake
When: lunch time
Delores, the girl who worked the front desk, was on her lunch hour and Ian was minding her place while she was gone. It had been a quiet day for the most part, and he'd just spent the past half hour pouring over the sequence of letters from the wall in the library. He still hadn't figured out what they meant, but he had put together a few different words with the letters.

who: Ian and Laura
where: The Alexandrian Library
when: afternoon
Ian's day had started just like almost every other day. He'd spent the morning talking with guests, ensuring rooms where ready for guests checking in today and mostly overseeing the going-ons of his hotel. After lunch in the hotel dinning room, he finally sat down at his desk in the back office, intent on going over the books again and continuing to perfect the algorithm he used to ensure only he could read them.
