Who: Lucas and Feo
Where: Lucas' place
When: early evening
Lucas had called Sam to tell her that he had something for her, but she hadn't answered. He'd wound up just making a trek to her office at the police station but she wasn't at her desk so he left the envelope with the first confession and one of the photos from the torture. It was a later photo that he'd scoured with a close eye for anything that might give any indication of the killer, but Lucas had found nothing, and deemed it worthy of going to the police. They didn't need to know that he had others to go with it.

Who: Lucas
Where: The Echo
When: Early Morning
There were perks to sleeping in his office most nights. They seemed few and far between to the observer, but for Lucas, a cat nap on the couch in his office meant a multitude of things. He could sift through cases and reports in work by his co-workers, keeping his family name out of them, as well as swiping the better story by going through others notes. It didn't really win him friends, but those who cared, or realized what he did, just took their notes home with them.

Who: Feo and Lucas
Where: The Kitten Club
When: Evening
The Kitten Club was a place Feo rarely frequented. She had set foot in there a handful of times for work purposes. Other than that, she had no interest in it. It struck her as gaudy and tacky, and those attributes alone bothered her enough. Even if it had been the upscale establishment of its aspirations, its owners were more than enough to put her off. Fucking Russians. Crawling scum.

Who: Lucas and Sam
Where: ECPD
When: afternoon
After Max left, Lucas put the final touches on his story then left it on his editor's desk. Sam hadn't answered his messages yet so he decided he'd just go visit her. For once though, he did stop at home to change and shower. Max's comment on how he looked hadn't really bothered him, but he supposed if he was going to get what he wanted out of Sam he should look the part. By the time he was headed to the ECPD he was clean shaven, dressed in a new suit though without the tie.

Who: Arienne and Lucas
Where: The Echo
When: afternoon
Lucas didn't need the fire at the Drake to work on a Saturday but it sure as hell didn't hurt. The sound of sirens had woken him up, a rare noise in his part of the city and he'd thrown on the clothes from the night before, left a note for the woman in his bed and headed out after them with his notepad in hand. He hadn't expected to round the corner and find the Drake on fucking fire.

who: Lucas and Chie
where: Chie's shop
when: late afternoon
Lucas had spent the morning at his desk, chain smoking and going over the files he'd nicked from the journalist who'd done the write up about the bodies and their O'Malley connection. Nothing had been jumping out at him directly, no hints about who'd killed them, or who even why they died.
Ringing

Who: Lucas
Where: his desk at the Echo
When: early morning
For a moment or two the ringing sound laced itself through his dreams until the ringing actually pulled him from his dreams completely and Lucas woke up, finding himself asleep at his desk with the phone ringing next to his head. Sitting up a little he rubbed his face and let the phone ring twice more. That brought the grand total of rings he remembered to six, which meant only one thing.
