The Past and The Future
Submitted by broken on Fri, 01/01/2010 - 14:07.
Who: Brett
Where: His apartment, then Gray's house
When: Late
Brett had been working all day. With the hell that had been let loose, he figured everyone had. He'd been driving today - driving and acting as muscle for one of the higher ups. Just grabbed with another guy, told to follow and drive. It had been a day that had started bloody, the O'Malleys turning on themselves, as well as suspecting outsiders. Anyone who wasn't 100% became a target.

Who: Andrei and Ivanka
Where: The Green Fairy
When: Midday
Ivanka had learned to love the smell of The Green Fairy. It was a mix of musk, perfume, the smoke of cigars and the faint smell of absinthe. The whole building was a small, old converted bar, with a stage put in. The burlesque dancers usually started at noon, and continued on throughout the rest of the day. There was almost always a strip tease going on for the amusement of the men. These were usually the women talented enough in dancing to escape the brothel, but still tied down by the Syndicate.

Who: Ian and Evelyn
Where: The Drake
When: Late afternoon
His meeting with Maya Walker had gone well enough, but Ian still locked himself in his office for an hour or so afterward, making phone calls to find a singer for the ball. He was pretty sure he'd found an act, suggested by the orchestra he'd hired. There wasn't time to audition her beforehand, which was unsettling, but he would just have to hope for the best.

Who: Finn and Laura
Where: Finn's apartment
When: 2 am
After Finn had left the One More Round, his feelings began to stir again. He didn't head straight home. Instead he walked to the docks. He spent a lot of time here when he first found out that Eris had "died." Her death meant something terrible for him. It brought forward thoughts of the permanence of death. He'd been aware of what death was previously. People died. But not people he knew; people he truly cared about.

Who: Maya and Ian
Where: The Drake
When: 1pm
Ian checked his pocket watch against the large clock in the center of the hotel. One of the two was running a little fast, but that wasn't really a concern. He was still ready for the appointment, merely waiting on Maya Walker's arrival. It didn't surprise him that they'd use the Drake for the ball they were throwing, the place had come to be relied on for that sort of thing.

Who: Janey and Maddy
Where: St Peter's Cathedral
When: Afternoon
Maddy had dried her eyes after blubbering like an idiot to a dead mother who couldn't hear her. Crying wasn't going to do anything. Maddy Keyes didn't fucking cry. She was badass. Badasses totally don't cry.

who: roy and evie
where: her place
when: morning
Roy had gone to visit Marian, in a bit of a dark mood that morning. He'd wanted to see her, maybe get a smile from her, and see if it brightened his day at all. Unfortunately for him, she was out, probably working--which really he should have figured in the first place. Marian was working a lot. Still, her not being there when he needed her to be didn't help his mood, and it was with his head hung and his shoulders hunched that he walked back through the halls, not looking especially well where he was going.

Who: Maddy
Where: St. Peter's Cathedral
When: Afternoon
Maddy had left Dodge's apartment while he was still sleeping. It had been awkward for her and she was glad that Dodge wasn't up to see her scramble around for her gloves and coat. She had left him her drawings, the way he had taken care of them earlier a possible indicator that he'd perhaps want them.

Who: Jakob, Sam, and Aaron
Where: Alley behind nondescript bar in Chinatown
When: Early morning
The call had come in to Homicide first thing in the morning. No one even had a chance to get coffee yet. There was a dead white guy laying in a pile of broken down boxes next to a dumpster in Chinatown. The anonymous caller was sure he was dead because it looked like stray cats were chewing on him and he wasn't moving. Other than that, the only information given before the caller hung up was the location, which happened to be between two bars.

The Fall of Babylon

Who: Jackson & Danny, and then OPEN to anyone who fancies gawking at the aftermath, or lurking in the top level of Babylon idk.
Where: Babylon
When: Evening
Jackson hadn't trusted himself to be anywhere near the station after the incident with Paul, and but he hadn't really wanted to go home either, so instead he'd let himself into Jenny's place and slept fitfully on her couch for a couple hours, before waking up around 5.30 and leaving to go on a long antsy walk. It was 2 hours before the drunk tank got cleared. He'd been so fucking aware of it.

who: eris
when: just after midnight
where: babylon
She didn't know when on Friday Jackson planned to do his thing, so she decided to go well before she thought he'd actually go through with it. At least, he'd better not be doing it at one in the morning, no with his state when he'd been at her place. While not the safest of moves by a long shot, she did actually go there. Seemed that she still knew where Babylon was, regardless of the damage in her head. She also knew who's window to knock on first, and it all went forward from there.
TIME UPDATE
Submitted by mods on Wed, 12/23/2009 - 16:16.
Weather: The wind calms down, but the day is a dark overcast with a miserable drizzle that won't quit, it turning to proper rain later in the night.
Events: The Echo today reports on Moira O'Malley's death, sighting her as a 'high profile' person, and noting that she'd recently opened the Rock Bottom. No suspects are named, no one was seen at the scene, and generally speaking, it seems everyone's a whole lot of clueless.
In positive news, there's a ball being held tomorrow night, courtesy of the Walker family to honor the policemen involved in ending the city's latest terror--the killer that stalked the streets is no more! Medals for heroism are being given out, High society is invited, along with any police department employees and their families.
Dreams: Tonight, dreams are filled with mixed news. There is a focus for the world of a specific, radical group that broke in and tried to shut down a nuclear power plant by force and things got out of control, leading to a meltdown. Hundreds of lives were lost, and governments are all reassessing nuclear power in general. The biggest item on the table is requiring every government to go green as soon as possible, an idea that seems to be getting good reception.
If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!
