Holding onto her hat with her right hand, Evelyn angled her head up at the garage, the cab behind her pulling away. She was pretty sure this was the place -- there had only been one 'Occam Automotive' in the phonebook after all. She shifted the bag cradled in her left arm, still apprehensive as to whether it was the right gift to express 'Thank you for saving my life'. She didn't think it was, but it was the best she could come up with.

Dodge had looked everywhere. He'd been back to Maddy's place, to most of the major street kid hang outs, and even digging through the park for her but with no luck. She wasn't anywhere. Dodge had sent his boys off, much to their dismay but after a moment hesitation, they realized that he wasn't out to get in another fight, just to get out of his head. He'd walked, slowly and really without direction, trying to flex his hurt hand to make sure it didn't cramp up.

She was a girl on a mission, that's what Maddy was. She'd left the McKinnon's with their phone number in her pocket and pilfered cough medicine, leaving behind a note that she'd pay them back for the bottle as soon as possible. However that wasn't what she had on her mind. Not at that moment. No.

After her lunch with Ian Sullivan, Shoshannah left The Drake Hotel feeling light as a feather. Her parents had been completely wrong about that place. There wasn't anything for her to be worried about. The hotel itself was gorgeous and if all the staff were as friendly and accommodating as Ian was then there truly was no reason for her to worry.

Roy hadn't been at the garage nor had there been any real hits of him on the streets. Dodge had gone to bed last night with no answers and as a result had ended up staying up most of the night, worried. This morning he lacked his normally pressed look, clothes looked like they'd been slept in even though they hadn't, hair a little more mused than normal and the fedora a little more off kilter.

Lily had found Jenny having one of her 'days' when she went to the apartment that morning with a suitcase of clothes to drop off. She was firmly ensconced under the covers but didn't want Lily to call for her mother, so Lily left quietly, contemplating what she should do. She had the remainder of the week and the weekend off from the library and didn't particularly want to go back in so she was left walking aimlessly down the sidewalk kind of window gazing.
