A Decision
"There's no denying the overwhelming build of up bodies," the newscaster announced in his loud, important sounding voice. The camera moves to a shot of the hospital morgue, black body bags lined up around the walls. Another shot is of a local apartment building while police officers drag out more corpses, mangled, bluish, and places them with others. "With almost no power in the small towns of Russia there's nowhere to even store the bodies and graves can't be dug quick enough. There's no kin to claim the dead because entire family lines are dying off."
Another shot of grave diggers, trying to keep up but obviously overworked and from as squalid conditions as the dead they are trying to bury. "There's a concern for the health of those around, that if the power shortages are survived, that disease from the corpses will wipe out the rest of the population. State officials made a difficult decision today, planning mass body burnings for the upcoming days, intent on at least preventing more damage to an already dwindling population."
