saving the girls

eris halo

who: eris
when: just after midnight
where: babylon

She didn't know when on Friday Jackson planned to do his thing, so she decided to go well before she thought he'd actually go through with it. At least, he'd better not be doing it at one in the morning, no with his state when he'd been at her place. While not the safest of moves by a long shot, she did actually go there. Seemed that she still knew where Babylon was, regardless of the damage in her head. She also knew who's window to knock on first, and it all went forward from there.

She got the word out, she gave the girls something to look forward to, and got far more hugs than she had in years all at once. It was strange for her. Eris wasn't necessarily a huggable woman in her time, she wasn't sure she was now, either, not that she shied from it. It was a good sign, after all. It was done, anyhow. She worked out a plan for them. Hopefully, they'd stick to it, and no one would be hunting her down because she'd been sold out.

She did have to admit, as she stood across the street in the heavy shadows of the alley, gazing up at what was once hers, that she was going to be glad to see it go. Going to be glad to know that the people who had taken it over were going down, leaving. Maybe it was symbolic, maybe it was just what it was, but it felt significant to her. Knowing she needed to not be in the area whenever Jackson showed up, and that she should likely get some sleep, she made herself move, made herself turn and walk away, and hope for the best.

At this point? It was the only option she had left.
