Character Profile
Name: Feoline 'Feo' Rasmussen
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Type: Aspect
Appearance:
At 5'10”, she strikes quite an imposing figure for a woman. She has a lithe, athletic build and always seems ready to spring into action. Her light brown hair hangs around her face and shoulders. One rather unsettling feature is her eyes; a clear blue, they lack a basic human warmth. It's one of those things people can't quite put their finger on but unnerves them regardless.
Never one to be seen in girlie attire (unless a job somehow requires it), she dresses in trousers and button down shirts. Colours are usually dark – it hides the stains better.
Personality:
Feo swings greatly from simply not caring about anyone else's existence (beyond any personal benefit) to fierce explosions. She can turn from tolerating others to laying them out cold moments later. Say the wrong thing at the wrong time and that's it. She takes no prisoners and does not suffer fools gladly.
Empathy is something she doesn't possess. She doesn't care about your sob story and it definitely isn't going to stop her from doing whatever she needs or wants to do. There's little sympathy for anyone or anything, just disdain for the weakness of others.
While she is not particularly personable, she can have an aloof charm to her. She has that air of mystery that suggests that no one really gets beneath the surface. Though the underneath is manipulative, ruthless and barely contained bloodlust. She can fake a host of personalities for business purposes but that's all they are.
Sexuality:
Though sex is rarely at the forefront of Feo's mind, and romance even less so, she is attracted to both men and women. Women slightly more so, as their delicacy appeals.
Constants:
Devotion to a specific cause
Feo has a great sense of justice, skewed as it may be. While some hired hands may torture and maim indiscriminately, she has a more specified target. Those who betray, sell information, sell out their cohorts, even run-of-the-mill cheating spouses, she's more than happy to take care of them all. They have no honour, morals or integrity, and they have it coming.
Prone to rage blackouts
When the red mist descends, people had better watch out. Feo is only in control of her temper to a limited degree and when pushed that extra inch, hell breaks loose. How exactly she cracked that rib and whose severed hand that is on the floor is anyone's guess. Jobs may end up overly bloody but she gets things done.
Drawn to create and participate in violent confrontations
There's no point in negotiations when a simple punch in the face works wonders. Whether it's a bar room brawl or a rumble between syndicates, Feo revels in starting a fight. Not to mention participating in them with aplomb. If there's fuel for the fire, you can be damn sure she'll light it and has no qualms in keeping feuds going until someone ends up in a body bag.
City History:
Wagner Rasmussen, along with his wife Caja and brother Folke emigrated from Denmark for a slice of the American Dream. Together the brothers set up a butchers and led a reasonably comfortable life. The birth of little Feoline a few years later cemented the fact that they were indeed living a better life.
That was until the Konoviches came onto the scene. Seeing an opportunity to exploit the modest business, Folke and Wagner were approached about doing a few small favours in exchange for not so small sums of money. Wagner was uncertain about the deal but Folke saw dollar signs. Eventually he persuaded his brother to accept, citing how he would be able to provide for his family in ways that hadn't been possible.
What began as 'temporarily housing' (read: storing) women sold or stolen into prostitution in their meat locker steadily grew into more. The bodies that started to arrive were not always alive. Already in too deep and too afraid to refuse, the butchers turned the tools of their trade to carving up human remains, rendering them as indistinguishable as possible in the grinder and disposing of it by feeding it to strays or bundling it in with parts unfit for human consumption.
As well as pressure from the syndicate, Wagner's family life was not as idyllic as he'd pictured. Feo was far from a typical little girl, picking fights and starting fisticuffs at every turn. At first he had been proud when his eight year old daughter had expressed her desire to work alongside her father and carry on the business. Despite the gory nature of the job, Feo loved to watch him work and followed everything he did with a keen eye. The morbidity of it only struck him when she asked if she could 'cut things up'. The repeated requests were denied. By the time she was twelve, Feo had decided to take matters into her own hands.
As he went to start work one morning, Wagner found the shop unlocked and Feo merrily hacking away at a pig carcass. From then on he decided to teach her all he knew, both for her own safety and out of concern for his daughter's fascination.
Then the brothers messed up. The police found three fingers of a missing person. Fingers that should have been on their way to being slurry, not carried off by a hungry cat and left on the owner's kitchen floor.
The Konoviches were brutual. Three soldiers grabbed Caja on her way home from visiting a friend to beat and rape her. Left a broken mess, there was nothing the doctors could do for her. Folke escaped more lightly; they plucked out his right eye. Finally broken by his wife's death, brother's mutilation and threat that those horrific incidents were merely a warning, Wagner couldn't take any more. He hung himself in the butcher shop window.
Feo was taken in by her now bitter, scarred uncle. He told the fourteen year old girl exactly what had happened to her parents and the group responsible. Over and over he told her about how vile humanity could be, the lowest of the low and the scum of the earth. Feo came to the conclusion that some people weren't fit to be alive. Her rage wasn't quiet and seething but loud and violent; she found herself repeatedly in trouble with the police for harming others and threw herself into any street fight she came across. But that wasn't enough.
At eighteen, she offered up service to the desperate and double crossed as a bloody solution to their problems. Torture and murder came far too naturally to her. She garnered herself a reputation in the underworld as someone efficient, uncompromising and lethal, and the DiGiovanni's started to employ her services. Not only is it a paid reason to indulge all her bloody desires, it's often a paid reason to inflict more than a little pain on a Konovich.
Special Skills and Abilities:
She's a dab hand with butchery equipment. Fluent in Danish.
Weaknesses:
Cracked
For all intents and purposes, she's a nutbag. While some people learn to live with the sight of blood, she lives for the sight of it. If there's an act violent or depraved enough to make her flinch, she hasn't found it yet. It's a black and white world where you're either a worthy human being or akin to offal. And offal gets cut up and put into the meat grinder.
Untrusting
The only person worth relying on is herself. She's seen people lie and cheat over and over again. Not only are people simply not worth it, it's only a matter of time, money or power before they sell you out.
God Complex
An absolute confidence in herself and her abilities that spills over into narcissism. She believes that she is inherently better than the average, corruptible, easily bought schmuck and is therefore perfectly justified in giving them what they've had coming.
Unforgiving
Feo holds grudges, and holds them for a very long time. If someone wrongs her in some way, it's not only them but their family, their friends, their associates. Reason and logic be damned - they all get tarred with the same brush.
Strengths:
Strong Willed
Feo can't be bought, bribed or coerced in not so nice ways. If she knows anything about that guy or that thing you're so desperate to get some information on, she sure as hell won't tell you. Once her mind is set, there's no changing it.
Tough Cookie
Through a mixture of determination, rage and a little bit of crazy, Feo just keeps on going. She feels the pain of being wounded - the pain just isn't important.
Family or Connections:
Her uncle Folke. Tenuous connections to the DiGiovanni's and their associates. Being hired help suits her just fine. She's not looking to make loyalties or climb the ladder.
Residence:
Two bedroom apartment near One More Round
Career:
Freelancer for anyone who can pay up. If someone needs to be taught a lesson or simply disappear, she's a go-to girl.
