Anya is very pretty, maybe even considered beautiful by some. She is petite and fragile looking. Her skin is pale but it has a slightly bronzed hue to it. Her brown hair falls in curls around her angelic face. She has very expressive brown eyes and a smile that can light up a room and melt the coldest heart. Her curves are slight, yet still recognizable in any outfit she chooses to wear.

Personality:

Although life has been cruel to her, she is optimistic and light hearted. She is loyal to those close to her and makes friends very easily. She has never been a total pushover and will stand up for others, even if she does not stand up for herself. She tries to make the best of any situation, even if it means doing something that she wouldn't normally do.(she has morals but they get compromised quite often.)She is the kind of person that you just cant help but love to be around. Anya is very bubbly and outgoing, always making new friends and trying new things. She goes out of her way to help people less fortunate than her. For instance, she once saw an old woman on the streets sleeping against a building and she gave her her whole nights earnings without a second thought. She is selfless to the point of martyrdom. Anya is very easy to get along with and doesn't usually pick fights. (Her whole character is based on some wakings urge to save someone and another's urge to hurt someone weaker than them if that helps.)

Constants:

She is the embodiment of snow white. Anya's first constant is that she has always had a (male)person who is set against her. When she was little it was her step father, and when she grew up it was her pimp. Her whole life she has been under someones thumb. Her second constant is that she is always looking for her prince charming. No matter how bad things get she knows that when she meets her special someone, everything will turn out okay. When she was little she used to make her neighbor dress up as a prince and rescue her; now that she is older that turned into her hoping that someone will rescue her from her life as a prostitute. Anya's third constant is that she inspires others to take care of and/or protect her. She has always attracted men who are protectors and she has always found someone who has taken pity on her and helped her in some simple way. When she first started working on the streets, a kind and older prostitute helped her learn the way things were done and looked out for her as she learned the ropes.

City History:

Anya has had a very rough life so far. and it doesn't look like things are going to get any better.At the age of 6 she was molested by her step father; this continued until she was 13, when she was sold to the mafia to pay of her stepfathers debt. Anya was sold to the Konovich Syndicate. She works not too far from Babylon, but she was deemed "not worthy enough" to be part of the brothel, so she works on the streets nearby. When she was little she really wanted of being an actress at the The Hill Street Theater, but her step father cut her dreams down, saying the only thing she could do was lie on her back. Most of her problems, both psychological and social, stem from her step-dad and his abuse in her childhood. He neglected Anya in many ways; by leaving her alone in the house without anything to eat for days, then he verbally and physically abused her daily for years,and of course that isn't even taking into consideration the years of sexual abuse. As horrible as it is, getting sold to the mob was the best thing that ever happened to her at that point in time. She is so optimistic because of her past, she figures that things have to get better and that you have to go up once you hit rock bottom.

From the time she was 13, Anya has catered to all walks of life. She has been beaten,bruised,battered,raped,shot, and robbed many times over. Yet, she still manages to keep her hope, to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. She got into many different relationships with that point of view, each one ending in disaster. Her last ":prince" turned out to be not so charming when he put her in the hospital and broke 4 of her ribs. She is now recovered and ready to try and start her life back up again.

Special Skills and Abilities:

she can sing very well and she can paint, though she keeps these things to herself.

Weaknesses:

she is very naive, she trusts in people wholeheartedly, never believing the worst out of anyone, and then is surprised when they aren't what they appeared to be. Anya is always being tricked and hurt because she is so trusting and giving. She has fainting spells caused by her low blood pressure. These can happen at any time and can be very frequent or infrequent. They especially occur at times of stress or when she has not eaten enough. Lastly, she is tragically gullible, she will believe just about anything you tell her. Once, when she was just starting out, her boyfriend told her that he had to leave because he had to go on a missionary trip to South Africa to help teach children English(when in reality he was going home to his wife and child.) and she believed it without any . Sadly, because of all of these qualities, she is a very big target for obsession. There is usually someone who is after her, whether its a client who is always coming back for more, or the creepy guy that always follows her home, she always is the object of someones attention.

Strengths:

she inspires sympathy and the need to protect. Most of the people who look at Anya, feel an instant the need to help or protect her. this comes in handy when she is on the streets, and when she is alone. it also helps her because she appears more trustworthy. She is very intelligent, despite her gullibility. She is always helping solve her friends problems, and she teaches the illiterate working girls how to read. Lastly, Anya has strong will. When she sets her mind to something nothing can stop her from reaching her goal eventually. Her current ambition is to find love, not just extreme liking but genuine love, and nothing is going to stop her from chasing that.

Family or Connections:

Her family is all dead, but all of the girls she works with are her family, They stick out for each other.(She may have possible connections to police members and people in the Konovich Syndicate as well, depending on whether or not any existing players want to go that route.)

Residence:
