Appearance:

The first thing most people noticed about Maggie is that mop of wavy hair she’s got. It's a dishwater blonde that never quite gets light enough or dark enough to be anything but that color unless she dyes it(which she's been known to do). But those curls are always present. She's a cute girl, someone who attracts attention all the time.

She's got big expressive eyes that tend to get her out of trouble. She'll pull out the stops and if she's really putting on those sweet puppy eyes of hers, a lot of people are done for. Style-wise, she wears what she can get her hands on. She's never had a whole lot in the way of material possessions, but she's more recently gotten a better financial standing and she's been all about using that to it’s fullest extent.

Personality:

Maggie comes off a lot like a sweet if bouncy sort of personality. She's got a little bit of a troublemaker streak in her, something that people can almost tell just by looking at her, with that little wicked smirk she gets on her face, but it's really difficult to say no to her. Maggie's very good at saying the right thing at the right time. She's far more of a manipulator than she ever lets on, but she's damn good. She's a girl who wants what she wants, and she's really not at all afraid to push people's buttons to get it. Some of it is mere survival traits, some of it is something she refined as she grew up. Either way, she knows just what to say, when to say it and what inflection to use to get the kinds of results she wants.

Even with that manipulative edge, she isn't usually malicious. She can be when she wants to be, but it isn't usually her starting goal. She's just learned that if you sit around waiting for other people to provide for you, it ain't gonna happen. That you have to get going and do things yourself. So, with that she's a fiercely independent sort, sometimes a little too independent.

City History:

The Grady family wasn't just one family. It was three families, all crammed into one huge house. Maggie, her siblings and her cousins were all growing up there, with most of the money coming from her uncle. Of course, things didn't really pan out all that well. Basically the family imploded on itself, they never had enough to go around, and unsurprisingly, her uncle went missing, and everything went to hell in a handbasket.

Maggie was just old enough to get out of being sent to the orphanage, and she basically drifted. She started smaller schemes on her own to get her needs met, and worked for smaller businesses on and off for a few years, usually sleeping in the establishment whenever possible. It wasn't an easy life, that was for certain, but it certainly taught her a lot in very short order. Maggie learned how to con people, and she went for it.
She worked her way through longer and longer cons til she got where she is today--the mistress of a mid-level man in the DiGiovanni crime family. It means she's got an apartment that's paid for her, and she's kept in pretty nice things. So far the deal is pretty sweet, and she's happy to float for a while where she's at, see what happens.

Recently she saw a story in the Echo by her cousin, Marian, about her other cousin, Roy (who she'd kind of assumed was dead). She's still debating whether or not she wants to get in touch with either of them, not sure if it would blow her current circumstances or not. But the draw of family is one that itches at the back of her mind.

Weaknesses:

What morals? - Maggie doesn't come with a whole lot of scrupals. It isn't that she doesn't have any morals at all, they're just pretty damn loose in comparison to other people. It doesn't make her evil, but it does mean she'll do things other people would balk at.

Hell Hath No Fury - She's not usually vindictive. She doesn't start out that way. But if she does feel slighted or offended by something someone's done? Oh she'll make it her whole focus to screw them over. She's hard to get worked up like that but it's definitely not impossible. People who've wronged Maggie have wound up sobbing in the gutter, that's for damn sure. Those manipulation skills can most certainly be used for harsher purposes than she usually goes for, and if she's inclined, she'll pull out all the stops. Is this wise? Oh god no. especially not these days when she's got intimate connections with a mob member. Not only that but when she's focused in on that, she tends to let other things slide. Her focus narrows in really sharply to take things out on people.

Risky Business - Maggie lacks a certain sense of caution. That little voice in the back of your head that warns you something's a bad idea? Maggie doesn't have that. It's less that she seeks out risks to take and more that when she encounters them she plows on straight ahead without a pause to even consider the consequences.

Overconfident - It's possible Maggie believes she's capable of absolutely everything, and that isn't quite the case. She's damn good, it's true, but she's not infallible, and sometimes she bites off a whole lot more than she can chew. Not only that but even when she does do that, it's incredibly difficult for her to come to terms with the idea she can't manage something.
　
Second Nature - Since she spends most of her time manipulating people in at least one form or another, she has a real problem shutting it off. Even when she isn't meaning to, a lot of the time she'll be subtly doing it anyway, altering her tone, body language, etc to get the reaction she wants from people. By this point in her life, she really does it automatically, so if situations require her to be straight forward, she might be in trouble.

Strengths:

Quick Study - Maggie picks up things very quickly. She'll learn how to play someone in fairly short order, paying strict attention to everything she can when she meets people. Her mind is geared towards catching all the little details so she can use them later.

Liar - The girl is a fabulous liar. She can tell lies incredibly convincingly, and she doesn't even have to pause and think about it first, the lies just spill off her tongue like nothing.
