Appearance:

Jonas is best described as nondescript. Nothing about him makes him stand out from the crowd. His hair is brown, like most people, not to straight, not to curly. He’s of average height, average build, dresses just as everyone else around him dresses. His features are plain, no identifying scars, marks or tattoos.

Personality:

Before he tripped off the deep end of things, Jonas was focused in all the best ways. He was able to get deep in the weeds in something and come out the other side with something great. A very creative mind paired with a type a personality gave him an edge above the rest in the way that the visual arts came to him naturally. Photography was the perfect choice and he had a way of seeing the end picture and the focus to make it happen.

Now that he’s half lost his mind the focus has become obsession. He tends to fixate on the smallest thing, anything that might hint back towards his glory days. The things that he can focus on will encompass everything in his thought, need for little else coming through. He can get lost for days in an item, or an object just to come out the other side, not realizing that that much time has passed.

People are no longer people, but means to an end and object. The object of his obsession especially is no longer human, but rather some object hat he can mold and make his own when necessary.

City History:

Jonas Fitzgerald had been the next big thing in the photography world. He’d broken onto the scene after a shocking yet stunning shoot with the lovely Emily Walker. It was an instant success, no one having seen the model portrayed the way he’d shown her and suddenly everyone wanted him. He worked with other models, other photographers and got caught up completely in the fame, in the power he had over his models and the assistants on shoots.

It started to get worse the next time he had an opportunity to photograph Emily, one of her last shoots ever. He’d gotten so far into his own head that he treated her terribly the entire time, barking orders, making demands that were hardly reasonable and getting more than frustrated when his expectations weren’t met.

The resulting shoot wasn’t up to par with his first and people started to question his talent, assuming that the initial success was just dumb luck or the result of someone else who worked for him that he’d run off due to his bad attitude. News of his issues spread as well, and suddenly no one wanted to work with him and those that did weren’t good enough.

What success he had dwindled and no now one knew his name. He wasn’t anyone. It was awful.

It didn’t take long to find her, just some searching, but he hasn’t come close to her yet. There are photos, lined around the crappy apartment he’s staying, some from the photo shoots, some from a distance. He will have have back. He needs her back. She’s the key to his success, to getting back the fame he deserves.

Weaknesses:

Obsessive - Jonas was always a bit too into his work but lately he’s gone from being into his work to being completely caught up in the object of his work. Or the former object of his work in this case. It was what made him a diligent artist and now it’s lend towards him being an out of control stalker.

Fallen from Status - At one point Jonas was it. The was the up and coming photographer that everyone wanted, that was going to be huge and then that all went away. Though it actually built up over time to him it felt like it all just fell away overnight. And he wants it back. Badly.

Aimless- In a way, Jonas does have a plan. It’s called “get Emily.” The problem is though, he doesn’t have a plan of how to do that or what he’s going to do once he has her back. It’ll come to him, he’s sure of it, but don’t ask him what he’s going to do now because he can’t answer that question.

Unable to see beyond the task at hand - In his time it made him a great photographer, able to capture some small detail that others would have missed, but now that it’s seeped into the rest of his life Jonas walks around with mental blinders on. He could very well miss that car hurtling down the street towards him as he follows after his target, or that he hasn’t eaten in a day or two. All of his focus goes to one thing and that’s it, nothing else.

Strengths:

Blends - Very little about Jonas makes him stand out, or makes him identifiable or memorable. It’s become an asset when trailing behind Emily or whatever object has caught his attention.
